Laundry Supervisor
Mt. Olympus Resorts is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Supervisor to help oversee our Laundry Department full-time. In this role, you will assist with cleaning, sorting, pressing, and folding textiles while working closely with the Laundry Manager to ensure smooth and safe operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and interpersonal skills and will demonstrate resilience and adaptability.
This is a full-time, non exempt position. Schedule: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
*Shifts may vary based on hotel occupancy and department need, up to 6 days per week and weekends and holidays are required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and folding clothing and other textile items.
- Removing stains from items using the appropriate procedures.
- Tracking which items belong to whom.
- Ensuring that the facility remains clean at all times.
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and properly store flammable materials.
- Reports to the Laundry Manager.
- Assist the Laundry Manager in ensuring employees stay on task, meet time limits, and adhere to break schedules.
- Help train new employees, guide them through procedures, and communicate expectations effectively
- Other duties as assigned.
- Prior supervisor experience in a similar role is preferable.
- Familiarity with or ability to learn how to use cleaning detergents and laundering equipment.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Capacity to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds unaided.
- Basic arithmetic skills.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
